I thought the show was very good. The acting was phenomenal and it really felt like you were watching a group of friends catching up over Zoom. The dialogue felt natural and the conversation was really insightful. An excellent, engaging play that weaves in the real interviews of Black women in long-term relationships with white men into a Zoom hang out with friends. The play allows for the audience to feel like a voyeur into a close knit group, and the format of Vimeo is a great tool to ensure video quality and encourage you to grab a glass of wine as you join. "Disrobed" was one of the more unusual immersive theatrical experiences I've had. The play is a funny romp about a woman who brings home her fiance' to meet her family.....and he doesn't know that they are all nudists. In order to ingratiate himself to his future in-laws, he has to pretend he is a nudist too, and literally must grin and bear it.
